Absolutely outstanding, our group of one adult and two children 12 and 10 loved it. We did the aqua park only, and the time allowed went too quick! There is a lot to do and we were never stuck for what to do next. The beast slide is pretty unique and lots of fun. Plenty of helpful staff to keep people safe and also help if needed. If you like excitement, adrenaline and fun on the water then you will love this. I've been to the other water park in Northern Ireland (I will review that separately if interested) and whilst they both have pros and cons we liked this one best. Every item of equipment was open for use and it's got more exciting and varied pieces of equipment in good condition. The changing room is communal but this wasn't a problem for us. The walk from changing to the waters edge involves walking on uneven ground / gravel a bit so can be briefly uncomfortable if not wearing flip flops that you can then leave with someone, but it's not a big deal really. There is not much for little ones to do other than a pedalo. There are picnic tables to sit at but no play area.

What fun. Both my 6 and 11 year old had the most amazing time. We'll be definitely be back. The staff were all so kind and helpful and there was as big group of lads there and the staff took time to explain to them that there were public around too and to push each other in and not us. The lifeguards were alert and helpful and there was enough to do for an hour for all ages.

Kids enjoyed water park, kayaks paddle boarding, highropes, zip line and swan rides. A very good deal for the amount of activities provided in a 5hour period. Most disappointing that dogs aren't welcome. Very inconvenient when your staying in a touring caravan and unable to leave a dog for 5+ hours to enjoy the park. I was asked twice to take my dog from the premises. The staff were very polite in asking and only following policies which are sadly in place. Even though it's all outside and the dogs would be on leads. I couldnt leave my children for that long. I spoke to three other dog owners who had been there a few hours..one dog was a Cocker spaniel like mine but none of them had been asked to leave. I won't be back as a single mum I have no one to care for my dog when on holiday.

Went with pal and our kids, great place. So well organised, right from the start the reception was nice and friendly, helpful staff who got us to fill out all relevant info etc. Then given wet suits and socks. The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. This was their second visit, last was with another mum, and for an hour, they loved it so much we had to book for 2 hours this time! The weather was awful, but it didn't matter, they were wet anyway!! And the food was delicious, we treated ourselves to hotdogs, so tasty. Will bring them back next season, highly recommend.

Took our two older kids (9 and 10) here over June bank holiday weekend after doing another waterpark near Belfast the week before. Our youngest (6 and not water confident) stayed with a friend, lakeside. My kids preferred the open changing rooms to the previous waterpark as they felt it was cleaner. I concur this. I appreciate there isn’t the privacy of individual changing rooms but everyone there was respectful of each other. We went with two other families and it added to the laughter as we all tried to squeeze into our wetsuits and help each other out. The walk down to the lake is rough so do ensure you have flip flops. Annoyingly, I forgot to pack ours (despite talking to myself whilst packing for the weekend, “Don’t forget the flip-flops, don’t forget the flipflops!”) but with careful strictly come dancing moves, we navigated the gravel to the lake. The course is a good balance of activities for the fear inducing junkies and those of a more cautious disposition.. For the more trepidatious, there’s simple things to navigate and for the headbangers amongst us, there were jumps and of course “The beast”. We all loved it! I haven’t laughed this much in ages. We preferred this park to the one near Belfast. The previous one was zoned and we felt restricted so much. The fluidity of The Lake meant we had freedom of movement and could enjoy things without the constant worry of a whistle being blown to tell us to move on to the next zone. As to the staff, we found them all friendly and helpful. The facilities were very clean. It does appear a newer establishment than the Belfast park so I’m sure facilities will expand. My one criticism would be that going forward, could there please be something lakeside for those younger children who can’t participate in the water activities, to keep them occupied? The tent with benches was great for a bit and the younger kids were well entertained by the adult but a play area would have made their day a bit special too. Many thanks to all the team. We look forward to a return visit.
